Waukesha County Department of Health and Human Services (WCDHHS) is recruiting to welcome an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) credentialed by Wisconsin DSPS to work in a full-time capacity on site within our Outpatient Behavioral Health Services division. The APRN will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use conditions, many of whom experience serious and persistent illness, who are enrolled in the division’s outpatient intensive case management programs. The programs provide psychosocial rehabilitation and treatment services and include Community Support Program (DHS 63), Comprehensive Community Services (DHS 36), Targeted Case Management, and Outpatient Services (DHS 75). The APRN will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes: Clinical Director, Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Coordinator, Human Services Supervisor, Clinical Therapist, master's- or bachelor's-level Case Manager, Nurse, Mental Health Technician, and other APRNs and Psychiatrists for consultation. Additionally, the provider will consult with the assigned Chapter 51 court services case managers for a smaller subset of patients who are mandated to receive treatment through a court order. While not common, testimony by the APRN in Chapter 51 extension hearings may be necessary.
