Part Time Remote Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Fee For Service
About The Position
Thriveworks is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Michigan for a part-time, remote, Fee for Service (W2) position. Clinicians will provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD, primarily focusing on adults and adolescents. The role involves making psychiatric assessments, prescribing medication as needed, creating care plans, and adhering to clinical practice guidelines. Thriveworks emphasizes a balanced approach to medication, leaving prescribing decisions to the clinician's discretion and does not currently treat substance use disorders, referring out when necessary. New hires will receive in-house training on ADHD treatment standards.
Requirements
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certification required
- Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state
- Licensed and living in the state in which they will be practicing
- 1 year of psychiatry practice is required
- Part-time requires 15 - 20 hours of availability per week
- Must complete an in-house training on ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a brief exam.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
- Three years of experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Make Psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing telemedicine capacity
- Willingness to treat 14 years old and up
- Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed
- Create and collaborate with clients on care plans
- Complete and/or administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools for clients
- Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
- Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at the various sites
