About The Position
We are seeking a PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established In-Patient Behavioral 19 Bed Unit at Portneuf Medical Center in beautiful Pocatello, Idaho. This role involves daily treatment team meetings, daily patient assessments by a Psychiatrist or APP, and psychiatrist support on each shift. The position is inpatient only and requires PRN coverage from 7 am to 7 pm. Responsibilities may include hospital consults in the ER or Med/Surg floor. The average census is 7-10 daily, and the role utilizes the Epic EMR. Experience is preferred.
Requirements
- PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities
- Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
- See all patients daily, either as a Psychiatrist or APP.
- Provide daily patient assessments.
- Receive psychiatrist support on each shift.
- Participate in on-call needs as required.
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care.
- Perform hospital consults in the ER or Med/Surg floor as needed.
- Manage an average census of 7-10 patients daily.
