About The Position

Piedmont Community Services is seeking a full-time psychiatric (LPN or RN) Crisis Nurse to play a vital role in providing assessment and nursing services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. As part of our multidisciplinary crisis services team, the Crisis Nurse will administer and monitor medications, assist with lab services, provide health education, and support individuals throughout the crisis stabilization process. Evenings, weekends, and some holiday hours may be required. 12-hour shifts are available, including 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and 8:00 PM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

• Current Virginia LPN or RN license
• Reliable transportation to meetings and other sites
• Familiarity with standard office equipment
• Good computer skills
• Willingness to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening

Nice To Haves

• Good communication skills
• 1+ year psychiatric nursing or emergency department nursing experience

Responsibilities
