Requirements

  • Current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code.
  • Qualifications, experience, education, and active disciplinary record will be considered.
  • Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application.

  • Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, providing nursing expertise in the development and implementation of individualized psychiatric treatment plans.
  • Assess patient needs and collaborate with clinical staff to support recovery-oriented care and positive treatment outcomes.
  • Observe, assess, and document patients’ mental status, behaviors, and responses to psychiatric medications and therapeutic interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate clinical findings to the treatment team to support informed care decisions and treatment modifications.
  • Function as Charge Nurse by coordinating and directing daily psychiatric nursing operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff while promoting a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and multidisciplinary reports.
  • Ensure patient records reflect comprehensive and up-to-date information regarding treatment, progress, and interventions.
  • Lead and facilitate therapeutic groups designed to enhance emotional regulation, coping skills, social functioning, and overall wellness.
  • Support patients in developing healthy strategies for managing symptoms and achieving treatment goals
