About The Position

We are seeking a licensed, experienced, communicative, and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Layton Clinic. This role involves conducting patient visits, obtaining histories, performing psychiatric evaluations, and developing/implementing treatment plans. The PMHNP will build and manage a panel of patients, monitor therapeutic interventions, and ensure the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI). The position also requires assuming responsibility for time management, professional relationships, and maintaining continuing educational requirements for licensure and certifications. Accurate and timely documentation of clinical care is essential, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Current License as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PMHNP
  • Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Utah
  • One to two years of experience as a licensed PMHNP
  • Possesses a State Controlled Substance License II through V
  • Possesses a Federal DEA Certificate II through V
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting
  • Ability to Commute: Layton, Utah (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • TMS and Ketamine experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient visits per accepted practice standards
  • Obtain patient histories and perform psychiatric evaluations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and protocols
  • Build and manage a panel of patients for whom you are the primary psychopharmacologist
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic intervention, assess, and manage patient follow up care
  • Maintain the confidentiality of PHI
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for time management, professional relationships, and interpersonal interactions within the job setting
  • Maintains continuing educational requirements necessary for licensure and certifications
  • Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care ensuring that records are detailed, complete, and comply with related standards and regulations
