About The Position

This role is for an Onsite Outpatient PMHNP responsible for diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions, providing psychopharmacologic management and supportive psychotherapy. The position involves maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with safety and confidentiality regulations, and managing client flow within the office. The PMHNP will also collaborate with the clinical support team, utilize office technology, and maintain professionalism. The role requires adaptability to changing priorities and demands while ensuring high-quality care delivery.

Requirements

  • Active and clear Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado
  • Active DEA license in the state of Colorado
  • Willing to work with our Clinical Support team to handle a variety of PMHNP needs
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Good judgment, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Basic Life Support (current AHA Provider Certification) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an Outpatient Mental Health Office
  • Experience Working Within an EHR

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat common, acute psychiatric problems, illness, and crises.
  • Provides psychopharmacologic management.
  • Provides supportive psychotherapy.
  • Documents in AdvancedMD EHR within 72 hours from time of service.
  • Maintains workstations, client rooms, and examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards, maintaining timely and accurate records in the EHR.
  • Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stays abreast of current technologies and practices.
  • Maintain all applicable certifications (i.e. DEA, CO RN, APRN, and RXN, BLS).
  • Apply safety principles as per organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with legal issues- including but not limited to client confidentiality and risk management according to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operation demands while maintaining quality high-quality care delivery.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all team members and assist as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Schedule client appointments and manage the client flow within the office.
  • Maintain accurate office and department records.
  • Utilize EHR, phone systems, and other necessary technology tools to enhance clinic operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Be punctual and reliable, showing commitment to working as part of a team.
  • Assist team members and the office as needed, offering flexibility in support of colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
