About The Position

Third Space Therapy is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to join their team. The role focuses on providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care to the Medicaid population. Third Space Therapy offers administrative support, handling billing, insurance, and credentialing, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care. The practice model is remote, offering flexibility in setting hours and caseloads, with competitive per-session pay. The goal is to expand Medicaid-covered behavioral healthcare and close gaps in access to care.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in Virginia.
• National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• Prescriptive authority, active DEA registration, and Virginia controlled substance registration.
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications.
• Own malpractice coverage ($1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate).
• Experience with EHR systems and other digital tools.
• A quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office, plus your own computer and reliable internet, for confidential virtual sessions.
• Fluency in English.

• Strong clinical judgment in managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations.
• A patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning.
• Experience collaborating with therapists and other providers as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations to the Medicaid population.
