About The Position
This is a full-time position for an Adult Outpatient Department (OPD) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, developing differential diagnoses, and prescribing medications. The position is located in Little Egg Harbor, with travel to Berkeley/Bayville as needed. The department is CCBHC/Adult Clinical Services.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing with a sub-specialty in Mental Health
- Valid NJ FNP or APN, CDS, DEA required
- Experience working with children and families
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments
- Initiate, order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Develop differential diagnosis
- Perform medication monitoring and prescribe medications as necessary
- Educate consumers on all medications
