About The Position

Headlight is a mental healthcare company founded by psychiatrists, aiming to transform how people access care and how clinicians deliver it. This specific role is for a part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 103 status, meaning they do not require supervision from a Collaborative Physician. Clinicians choose Headlight for its clinician-led expertise, handling of administrative tasks like insurance and billing, innovative technology (Blueprint AI for session notes), clinical support through Zivian Health and Clinical Consult Groups, clinical autonomy, and collaborative team environment within small teams led by licensed clinical leads.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of 12 months of experience post licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting
  • Master's degree in Nursing, with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing
  • Board Certification via ANCC or AANP
  • Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (based on clinic location)
  • Active DEA in the state your prescribing (based on clinic location)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Proficiency: Must have demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic health record systems efficiently to manage patient data, document clinical information, and access patient histories. Familiarity with NextGen is highly desirable.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer literacy with proficiency in a range of software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot common issues.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders
  • Offer individual and group therapy to patients
  • Prescribe and monitor medications when necessary
  • Maintain detailed records of patient visits and progress
  • Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient continuity of care
  • Educate patients and families about mental health and emotional disorders
  • Participate in community outreach and education
  • Able to work 1 day per week in office
  • Participate in our Spravato Program
