About The Position

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Springfield HEALTHY COMMUNITIES. COMPASSIONATE CARE. Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Springfield, Missouri has an opening for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) within our Behavioral Health Evergreen Department. Our Mission: Ozarks Community Hospital and clinics are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare and preventive services to all patients in an atmosphere of compassion, respect, and dignity, with a commitment to care for the underserved and to improve access to care. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) performs patient care focusing on individual differences, abnormal behavior, mental disorders and their prevention and improvement of patient lifestyles. This is realized through counseling and psychotherapeutic services. Serves as a consultant to other healthcare personnel.

Requirements

• NP Registered Nurse Practitioner – State Board of Registered Nursing required.
• Focus/Specialty - Psychiatric/mental health required.
• Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center required.
• Three years previous experience in psychiatric/medical social work is required.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• Substance abuse and/or addiction experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
