About The Position

Our client is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join its collaborative multidisciplinary team. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and ongoing treatment to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder services. Flexible scheduling and in-person, telehealth, or hybrid work options may be available based on program needs.

Requirements

Active PMHNP-BC certification through the ANCC.
Active, unrestricted Alaska APRN license or eligibility for Alaska licensure or reciprocity.
Active DEA registration in Alaska or eligibility to obtain one.
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and EHR skills.
Ability to successfully complete required background checks and credentialing.

Nice To Haves

At least one to two years of psychiatric or mental health experience.
Substance use disorder or MAT experience.
Telehealth experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment and medication-management plans.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), when clinically appropriate.
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, SUD counselors, psychiatric providers, and program leadership.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment-team meetings and case reviews.
Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Follow Alaska Medicaid, State Plan, and 1115 Waiver documentation requirements.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal and Alaska regulations, DEA requirements, and PDMP monitoring.
