Remote Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Full-Time, California
About The Position
Our practice is seeking two full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to provide telehealth psychiatric care exclusively to patients located in California. This role is designed to offer a different experience than typical telepsychiatry, focusing on a supportive team environment, clinician value, and high-quality patient care. The practice is co-owned by a practicing PMHNP and aims to be a leading place for both receiving and practicing mental health care. We are intentionally keeping the practice small (under 25 providers) to ensure every clinician is known, valued, and connected. We offer flexibility in creating an individualized employment package, allowing for arrangements that prioritize higher compensation, more clinical hours, or fewer clinical hours with more paid time off. Patient-centered appointment lengths are standard, with flexibility for longer follow-ups based on clinical judgment. Administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, insurance, credentialing, intake, and technical support are handled by the practice, and full-time providers receive dedicated virtual assistant support for tasks like prescription-monitoring reports. The primary patient population is adults 18+, with flexibility to build caseloads around clinician preferences.
Requirements
- Active California PMHNP license in good standing
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Active DEA registration authorizing practice in California
- At least two years of post-licensure outpatient psychiatric experience
- Availability to work full-time
- Willingness to work at least two Saturdays or Sundays per month
- Ability to provide care remotely in a private, professional, and secure setting
Responsibilities
