About The Position

BlueSky is a clinician-led, patient-centered, collaborative behavioral health company dedicated to improving access to high-quality mental health care through evidence-based practices. The company aims to serve all regions, including rural areas, by offering telehealth consultations for privacy, security, and convenience. This role involves providing effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include direct patient care, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. All patient care must adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Clinicians practice autonomously without corporate interference. The company is growing with teams of therapists and prescribers, facilitating collaboration through onboarding and regular (at least monthly) staffing meetings to discuss patient cases. Clinical work is performed from home with flexible days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Clinical team meetings are virtual, and clinical conferences are held four times a week. Attendance at one conference per week is required for the first 90 days, then one per month thereafter.

Requirements

  • Active PMHNP license in at least one of the states served: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
  • Must not own or operate a private practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and other basic technology.
  • Strong clinical background in psychiatry and behavioral health.
  • Strong knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological interventions.
  • Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to provide patient-centered, evidence-based, and collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
