About The Position

This is a part-time (.4 FTE 32 hours/2 weeks) position at Qualcomm Health Center. Join the Scripps Health team and work with dedicated caregivers to deliver patient-focused care. Requirements

3–5 years of licensed experience conducting psychiatric assessments in a behavioral health setting
Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
Knowledge of California Mental Health Law, including the LPS Act and 24-hour detention requirements
Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or Psychology, and/or Doctorate in Psychology
Current California licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, or as a Psychologist through the California Board of Psychology
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

5 years of healthcare experience, including psychiatric assessment and disposition
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
Knowledge of differential diagnosis and the relationship between medical and psychiatric conditions

Responsibilities

Function as part of a self-directed work team to perform in-depth psychiatric evaluations of patients and organizations throughout Qualcomm.
The Psychiatric Liaison Clinical Partner is a resource regarding differential diagnosis, therapeutic alliance and mandated reporting.
These clinicians provide diagnostic impressions, including differential diagnosis and determining suicidality/homicidality/grave disability, trauma, domestic violence, Stress, anxiety.
Triage and disposition of behavioral health patients, in collaboration with medical staff, to the optimal level of care to assure appropriate utilization of resources and excellent behavioral health care.
Demonstrate decision making skills and knowledge in clinical impression, collaboration, consultation, education, mentorship, and leadership.
Be responsible for identifying and developing approaches to enhance behavioral health care of all persons throughout the system.
