About The Position

As a Charge Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality, individualized care and support patients’ well-being and recovery. You will make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes. The role also includes mentoring and coaching, assisting with unit schedules, establishing daily work plans for a team of employees, and scheduling staff to attend and complete mandatory education. You will follow the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, including systematically collecting and analyzing patient data across psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.

CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. Its services include inpatient and outpatient mental health care at the free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility, alongside a range of other specialty and emergency services.

Requirements

• Graduate of a registered nurse (RN) nursing program.
• Registered Nurse: Nebraska license, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.

Responsibilities
