About The Position
Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the North Atlanta Dunwoody neighborhood. Peachford features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Nearly 10,000 patients receive compassionate care from our health care team each year and Peachford has been providing compassionate care since 1973. We are recruiting skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse applicants for Psych RN positions. We have positions open on a variety of units, serving a variety of patient populations, as well as a variety of shifts - including positions with no weekend requirements. Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in Georgia
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Interest or experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to patients with a variety of psychiatric, behavioral and addictive disease diagnoses.
- Develop interdisciplinary treatment plans.
- Monitor each patient’s progress toward treatment goals.
- Administer medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Communicate changes in patient’s status with physicians.
- Play a pivotal role in patient and family education.
- Keep our patients safe.
