About The Position

Centurion of Florida is seeking a seasoned full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team at Union Correctional Institution in Raiford, Florida. This role involves providing outpatient psychiatric and close management services to a male patient population, many of whom are over 50 years old and serving long-term sentences. The position offers the opportunity to work within a cohesive multidisciplinary team, with excellent collaboration between the Centurion medical team, FLDOC administrative team, and correctional officers. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for mental health/psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under the clinical direction of a psychiatrist, collaborating with the team to deliver services in a correctional setting.

Requirements

ANCC or ANA certification as an APRN-PMH or NCCPA Physician Assistants with CAQ in Psychiatry of qualifications
Active unrestricted Florida APRN-PMH or PA - CAQ license
Active unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate
Minimum of 9 months of full-time PMHNP prescribing to SMI patients required
Able and willing to pass a comprehensive background investigation
Work legally in the United States without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

Prior correctional mental health experience is highly desired
Prior locked/inpatient/close management experience is highly desired

Responsibilities
