PSYCH NURSE (RN) - CHILD/ADOLESCENT 7 AM - 7 PM
About The Position
Rolling Hills Hospital is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. The RN provides medical management and assessment of patients, ensures environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population, and directs implementation of behavior management programs and consistent follow-through. The RN makes patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The role includes training and educating staff, patients, and families; documenting patient care; ensuring accurate data is included in the master treatment plan through timely nursing care plan updates; and working with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu. This is a full-time day position, scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee required.
- CPR certification; training is provided.
- Handle with Care (HWC) certification; training is provided.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Nursing experience in the behavioral health field preferred.
- One year of inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and adolescents preferred.
