About The Position

Home Care Assistance is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for community client care in the Port Severn area. This role involves providing personal care, deep house cleaning, behavior support, and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate will have a driver's license, a reliable car, and be comfortable with extensive house cleaning duties.

Requirements

• 2 plus years experience
• Drivers license and reliable car are mandatory for this position.
• PSW certification required
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• Drivers License and own insured vehicle is mandatory
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters

Nice To Haves

• CPI training is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care
• Providing deep house cleaning
• Able to follow detailed list of daily chores and tasks
• Provide behavior support and crisis intervention
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned
• Follow Care Plan
• ADL's
• Clear and detailed care notes
