About The Position

This role is for a PSV/HGV Nightshift Engineer at the Caledonia Depot, working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis with overtime available. The pay rate is £22.91 per hour, with a £2000 joining bonus. The company is looking for qualified engineers, preferably with HGV or PSV experience, but also welcomes ex-Forces personnel with engineering apprenticeships and experienced engineers from other sectors seeking a change. Requirements

Minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair
PSV/HGV experience preferred
Ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification are welcome
Experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change are welcome
Flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-skill
UK driving license holder
Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable
Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries where required
Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
