The Thrive Center for Children, Families & Communities is implementing the Parenting Support Program- Early Intervention- MIECHV, a home visiting program designed to support pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies and families with children in or exiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) funded through DC Health. The primary focus of the program is to identify, assess, and deliver high-quality services to families across the District with emphasis on Wards 5, 7, & 8. The project’s aim is to support vulnerable families and children to improve their pregnancy and postpartum health, education and well-being. The PSP-EI Parent Educators are responsible for recruiting through community engagement and providing parent education, screening and referral services via home visiting to potential participants.
