About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Public Safety & Emergency Management (PSEM) Project Manager to lead enterprise-level monitoring and emergency management system initiatives in a large-scale public sector environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership, project management expertise, and experience managing enterprise monitoring and IT infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Event Management and Public Safety Emergency Services
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing medium to large-scale projects
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols and data delivery techniques
  • Experience with: IT Service Management, Enterprise Monitoring tools, Operations Management (Service Desk, Help Desk, Datacenter), Operating Systems, Databases, and IT Infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise monitoring solutions for: Service Automation, Service Assurance, Service Support
  • Experience serving as the primary point of contact for technical, financial, and administrative project matters
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, and dependency management experience
  • Technical leadership experience within large-scale emergency services environments

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Experience managing third-party service providers
  • Additional enterprise emergency services infrastructure experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze requirements for complex Public Safety & Emergency Management enterprise monitoring systems
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Develop engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials using tools such as Visio or CAD
  • Coordinate hardware and software system designs to meet operational and technical requirements
  • Manage project schedules, system validation, functionality testing, and operational readiness activities
  • Oversee technical discussions related to system specifications and infrastructure requirements
  • Manage cross-functional teams including consultants, vendors, and internal staff
  • Ensure adherence to PMO methodologies, development standards, and project governance processes
  • Monitor budgets, risks, communication plans, and project deliverables
  • Review project artifacts including technical documentation, testing plans, architecture, and implementation materials
  • Coordinate training plans, project closeout activities, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates to senior leadership and stakeholder agencies
  • Support PMO operations including scheduling, reporting, change requests, and deliverable management
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and issues effectively
