LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Site Coordinator to join our team at 2690 Pacific Avenue., Suite 330 Long Beach, CA 90806 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:15 am – 4:15 pm, with rotating Saturdays. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. PSC Site Coordinator may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Requirements

2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and role responsibilities.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Associate degree
3 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
2 years or more of experience supervisory role
Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
Experience managing workflow in a patient-centered environment
1 year or more phlebotomist experiences pediatric patients

Responsibilities

Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collecting payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
