About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join their team in Prattville AL. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling data entry and billing, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires the employee to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with exceptions for medical or religious accommodations as per applicable law. Phlebotomists work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, serving as the company's representative and providing skilled specimen collections.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
