LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Site Coordinator to join our team at 2690 Pacific Avenue., Suite 330 Long Beach, CA 90806 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:15 am – 4:15 pm, with rotating Saturdays. We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. Requirements

  • 2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree
  • 3 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • 2 years or more of experience supervisory role
  • Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
  • Experience managing workflow in a patient-centered environment
  • 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences pediatric patients
  • Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and role responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
  • Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collecting payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
