About The Position

The USW Combat Systems Department (Code 25), Deployed Systems Branch (Code 2514) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Navy’s premier undersea combat system. The BYG-1 Provisioning Support Specialist directly contributes to fleet readiness by ensuring that every system has the right parts, the right documentation, and the right support at the right time.

Requirements

  • Must have specific, hands-on familiarity with Navy provisioning processes, NAVSUP workflows, parts technical data, or ICAPS.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and required access to all worksite locations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive within a team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a knack for clarity and precision.
  • A detail‑driven approach that ensures accuracy in highly technical data.

Responsibilities

  • Partners closely with the Supply Support Lead to drive key provisioning workflows and process improvements.
  • Reviews technical documentation for accuracy and compliance, strengthening the quality of deliverables across teams.
  • Evaluates Provisioning Contract Control Numbers (PCCNs), provides actionable feedback, and helps guide Source Providers toward successful delivery.
  • Investigates issues within Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and shapes solutions that support both internal teams and external integrators.
  • Generates PCCNs and Design Change Notices (DCNs) that directly influence system baselines.
  • Ensures updates are fully incorporated into published APLs to maintain alignment across platforms.
  • Shares essential configuration data, drawings, and reports through centralized repositories that support Navy Supply (NAVSUP) collaboration.
  • Validates Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) reports for accuracy and consistency with expected system changes.
  • Maintains and refines the master provisioning tracker, helping teams anticipate needs and stay ahead of schedules.
  • Represents provisioning efforts in meetings, delivering clear and confident status updates.
  • Works directly with Source Providers, NAVSUP, and DLA to ensure timely inputs and consistent changes across all baselines.
