About The Position
This is a casual, non-exempt position in the Clinic department. The role involves supporting providers by rooming patients, assisting with procedures and treatments, and performing various tasks such as injections, phone communication, patient education, taking vital signs, chart documentation, participating in quality improvement initiatives, rooming prenatal visits, and managing supplies.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Must be certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants or obtain an unrestricted Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and professionally with clients of all ages, co-workers, practitioners and administration
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work well within a team
- Good organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Good time management skills
- Computer skills and knowledge of EMR
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinic nursing experience
