About The Position

This role is responsible for providing direct patient care and support within a clinic setting. Key duties include rooming patients, assisting providers with procedures and treatments, administering injections, managing phone communications, educating patients, taking vital signs, documenting in patient charts, participating in quality improvement initiatives, rooming prenatal visits, and managing supplies.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Graduate of Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse program
Must be certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants or obtain an unrestricted Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and professionally with clients of all ages, co-workers, practitioners and administration
Professional telephone etiquette
Positive attitude
Ability to work well within a team
Good organizational skills
Detail oriented
Good time management skills
Computer skills and knowledge of EMR

Nice To Haves

Previous clinic nursing experience preferred
