About The Position

The Provider Relations Specialist contributes to team success by providing customer service, administrative support, provider training, and project coordination throughout the full cycle of services in coordination and billing. The role provides administrative support and coordinates related documentation for DME and Home Health downstream providers across IHCS’s portfolio of business.

Requirements

Associate degree and at least two years of work experience with a plan payer, in health care, or a related field involving Provider Network Development and/or Provider Relations. Two years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge and understanding of managed care concepts.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements.
Ability to handle conflict and diffuse confrontational situations.
Demonstrate accountability and dependability.
Effective interpersonal skills, including articulateness, diplomacy, and the ability to persuade and motivate others.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; attentive, empathetic listening.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
Self-motivated, with a sense of urgency and commitment to prioritizing organizational needs.
Ability to be resourceful and creative within defined guidelines, parameters, and expectations.
