The Provider Relations Specialist is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with referring providers and healthcare organizations across the service area. This role promotes Augusta Health’s specialists, programs, and ancillary services while proactively identifying and addressing barriers to referral access, care coordination, and continuity of care. Working in close partnership with internal clinical leaders and departmental stakeholders, the Provider Relations Specialist supports organizational growth, market expansion, and strategic business development initiatives. Serving as a key liaison between Augusta Health Medical Group (AMG), non-AMG providers, hospitals, and community partners, this position acts as an extension of Augusta Health within the community. Approximately 70–80% of the role is field-based, engaging directly with providers and healthcare organizations to strengthen referral pathways, enhance provider engagement, and improve access to services. Through these efforts, the position directly contributes to increased market share, patient access, and service utilization. The Provider Relations Specialist leverages non-HIPAA market intelligence, internal referral data, and industry trends to prioritize relationship development and identify opportunities for service growth. This role represents Augusta Health, its hospital, and its clinics by fostering collaborative, trust-based relationships throughout the healthcare community.
