About The Position

At Sinai Chicago, the Provider Credentialing Coordinator supports the Network Development Team, Central Scheduling, Revenue Cycle, and decentralized departments in accordance with bylaws, policies, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures providers are correctly loaded into Epic and maintains and updates existing provider data by regularly verifying it with designated points of contact.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of previous work-related credentialing experience.
• At least 2 years of Revenue Cycle management or billing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC and MEDITECH software systems.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, verify, and maintain required data to determine applicants’ eligibility for credentialing.
• Review applications for completeness and identify missing data elements.
• Follow up on identified adverse data elements.
• Identify all practice locations for each applicant.
• Determine when the credentialing process is complete.
• Submit and maintain relevant data in appropriate databases.
• Ensure every employed physician is credentialed with each Health Plan.
• Proactively verify existing provider data regularly with designated points of contact.
