About The Position

Prototype Technicians work in Eos Energy Enterprises’ prototype lab and are accountable for producing batteries that meet product and quality specifications, with safety as the top priority. Team members produce the required number of cells and batteries for testing each day during the week; receive, test, analyze, record, and report product and test results; and work independently across functional areas to meet daily and weekly objectives. They may be assigned to one or more areas: preparing and modifying components; welding; preparing and assembling conductive plastic terminals and operating a hot press; assembling cells and batteries; quality control and leak testing; measuring and transferring electrolyte; or conducting electrochemical tests. The prototype team may occasionally assist Field Operations with renewable construction projects, battery connections, and installation testing. Team members also help equipment operators and skilled labor, maintain job-site and shop cleanliness, follow company regulations and work instructions, handle construction materials, and help maintain material inventory. Duties and assignments may change. The role is based in a factory environment and may involve visits to customer or partner sites, including manufacturing floors, laboratories, and construction sites. Local travel and overnight travel in North America are each listed as less than 10%.
