About The Position

Prototype Technicians work with Eos Energy Enterprises’ prototype lab team to produce batteries that meet product and quality specifications. Team members are responsible for producing the required number of cells and batteries for testing each workday, as well as receiving, testing, analyzing, recording, and reporting product and test results. They work independently in different functional areas to meet daily and weekly objectives and may be assigned to one or more focuses: preparation, welding, conductive plastic terminals, assembly, quality control, filling, measuring, and field projects. Tasks vary by focus and can include inspecting parts for defects and cleanliness; preparing, modifying, washing, cutting, or assembling components; welding metal pieces; operating a hot press; recording specifications on travelers; testing cells and batteries; mixing and transferring electrolyte; and assisting with battery installation and testing at renewable-energy construction projects. All team members help maintain shop cleanliness and material inventory, follow company policies and work instructions, and assist equipment operators and skilled labor as needed. The position is based in a factory environment and may involve visits to customer or partner locations, including offices, manufacturing floors, laboratories, and construction sites. Local travel is required; overnight travel in North America is less than 10%.
