About The Position

The Hardware Prototyping Team provides the 3D printing, prototyping capabilities, and shared lab space that help bring NEO to life. Engineers need more than access to a printer. They need a reliable place to build, test, and iterate, with the right tools, materials, and hands-on support ready when they need them. Keeping that space running at an exceptional standard is central to how the team supports development. Your charter is to keep the engineering team unblocked. You are the first point of contact for our 3D printing and prototyping lab and own the space, its equipment, and its day-to-day operation. Engineers should have everything they need to get straight to work. The lab is spotless, organized, fully stocked, and ready to use, and keeping it that way is on you.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with 3D printing and prototyping, or equivalent trade or technician experience.
• Proficiency in print preparation, printer operation, troubleshooting, and post-processing
• Ability to work from CAD files and engineering drawings
• Comfortable using common workshop tools and supporting engineers with practical prototyping tasks
• Experience keeping a shared lab or workshop organized, stocked, and ready to use
• Working knowledge of safe lab practices, equipment care, and material handling

Nice To Haves

• Experience with robotics, actuation systems, or other tightly integrated electromechanical products
• Experience with Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) printing
• Experience maintaining 3D printers and shared prototyping equipment
• CAD literacy for simple part modifications and quick-turn lab tooling
• Other fabrication skills that shorten the loop on lab tooling

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for engineers using the lab, understand what they need, and coordinate printing requests and hands-on prototyping support
• Deliver 3D printing support start to finish, from file preparation and printing through post-processing and part handover
• Set and maintain an exceptional standard for the space. Workbenches are spotless, tools have a home, and equipment is ready to use
• Own the lab: stock, ordering, tooling, maintenance, organization, and safe working practices. Anticipate engineers' needs and close gaps in tools, materials, and prototyping capabilities
