About The Position

This candidate will support proteomics and metabolomics testing in research and development analytical laboratories producing medical devices. The work includes biopsy preparation, protein handling and assays, and general laboratory maintenance supporting the development of healthcare products. The role is expected to last six months and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or a related science.
1–2 years of experience with protein extraction, quantification, and general protein handling.
Experience using centrifuges, plate readers, and pipettes.
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data processing and visualization.
Good deductive reasoning and an analytical approach to problem solving.
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently; self-motivated and results-driven.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by email.
Good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase.
Good organizational skills, record keeping, and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

Experience processing and handling tissue samples.
HPLC instrument and software experience.

Responsibilities

Complete biopsy preparation of samples.
Prepare samples and solutions for LC or LC-MS analysis.
Conduct protein quantification.
Perform general laboratory activities, potentially including pipetting, preparing solutions, samples, and media, and operating pH meters, autoclaves, and analytical balances.
Maintain general laboratory upkeep and supplies.
Dispose of laboratory materials and samples according to established guidelines and instructions.
