About The Position

Join our Protein Conversion team and play a critical role in maintaining the equipment and systems that support safe, high-quality poultry production. In this hands-on hourly maintenance position, you will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on processing and protein conversion equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations. You’ll work closely with production and sanitation teams to maintain equipment functionality, follow all safety, food safety, and biosecurity standards, and keep work areas clean and organized. This fast-paced environment requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a team-focused mindset. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to work in warm temperatures.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school degree or certificate preferred.
  • Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on protein conversion equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, responding effectively to emergency and unplanned equipment issues.
  • Inspect, service, and maintain motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, piping, and other critical operating components following established maintenance checklists.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and parts catalogs to determine proper repair methods and corrective actions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices to complete repairs, fabrication, and installations.
  • Work safely in demanding environments, including high heat or cold, elevated areas, and confined spaces, while meeting physical requirements such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
