About The Position
Eurofins PSS is seeking an associate-level scientist to support its mammalian protein expression group. The role involves basic mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques for a range of protein expression needs. The scientist will collaborate with the on-site PBS team to support research objectives and timelines, maintain precise routine laboratory practices, and document experimental results in an electronic lab notebook (eLN).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a similar discipline.
- Experience in mammalian cell culture and DNA plasmid preparation.
Responsibilities
- Provide molecular biology support, including bacterial transformation, plasmid preparation, gel electrophoresis, PCR, and cloning.
- Maintain mammalian cells and prepare cell cultures for transfection and protein expression experiments.
- Assist with general laboratory tasks and supply management.
- Collaborate with the on-site PBS team to meet research objectives and timelines.
- Document experimental results in an electronic lab notebook (eLN).
- Perform routine laboratory work with attention to detail and precision.
