About The Position

The Program Coordinator supports the daily operations of Protégé House and ensures a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for residents while also assisting with alumni engagement and quarterly programming for non-residential participants. This role is critical in maintaining consistency, accountability, and relationship-based support within the house.

Requirements

Experience working with at-risk youth or young women
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to enforce structure with empathy and consistency
Patience, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills
Familiarity with trauma-informed care

Responsibilities

Support a clean, safe, and structured living environment
Maintain and monitor chore systems and house expectations
Conduct weekly room checks
Assist with move-ins, including preparing rooms and coordinating bedding and welcome baskets
Guide residents in meal preparation, grocery shopping and planning, household management, and organization and time management
Support development of independent living skills in real time
Build consistent, supportive relationships with residents
Reinforce daily routines, expectations, and responsibilities
Provide guidance on transportation, scheduling, and time management
Support enforcement of house policies with care and consistency
Assist residents in scheduling appointments and tracking healthcare needs
Monitor access to food, hygiene items, and basic necessities
Communicate unmet needs to Program Director
Facilitate or support program sessions, workshops, and life skills activities
Assist in leading monthly mandatory house meetings
Plan and participate in house activities such as movie nights, game nights, and outings
Foster a positive and connected house culture
Track resident participation, concerns, and observations
Flag issues early for intervention
Communicate regularly with Program Director
