About The Position
Farmers Insurance – Jaimes Agency is seeking an experienced sales professional for our Protégé development program. This opportunity is designed for candidates who want to learn how a high-performing Farmers agency operates while continuing to build their sales and leadership skills. You will receive hands-on experience in sales, client retention, team development, marketing, performance management, and daily agency operations. Candidates who successfully complete the program and meet applicable Farmers eligibility and performance requirements may qualify for additional career advancement support within the Farmers organization. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have more than three years of professional sales experience.
Requirements
- More than three years of successful client-facing sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Proven ability to prospect, follow up, overcome objections, and close sales.
- Strong interest in leadership and agency operations.
- Confident, dependable, coachable, organized, and goal-oriented.
- Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time and on-site in El Paso.
- Applicants without the required sales experience will not be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Insurance sales experience or current insurance licenses preferred.
- Leadership, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business through prospecting, outbound calls, referrals, networking, and lead follow-up.
- Conduct needs-based insurance consultations and recommend appropriate coverage.
- Handle objections, ask for the sale, and consistently meet monthly sales goals.
- Build strong client relationships that support retention and referrals.
- Learn the daily sales, service, marketing, staffing, and operational functions of a Farmers agency.
- Participate in coaching, leadership development, and performance reviews.
- Complete required licensing, training, and Protégé program milestones.
- Assist with team development and agency projects as assigned.
