The Protective Services Security Officer serves as a visible, professional presence responsible for the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and organizational assets. This role encompasses proactive patrol, access control, emergency response, and exceptional customer service, reflective of the organization’s commitment to a safe and welcoming environment. Officers are trained to identify, assess, and tactfully intervene in situations posing risk to people or property, utilizing de-escalation techniques and, when authorized, less-lethal defensive tools per policy. Officers are also cross-trained to operate the Security Operations Center (SOC), monitoring access control, surveillance systems, and facility-wide communications.
