Position Overview The Protected Band Watch Officer (PBWO) is a 24/7 position with rotating 12-hour shifts located at the 4th Space Operations Squadron at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) in Colorado. The PBWO assists users in resolving system-related Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) issues in accordance with the Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution Procedures (CJCS-M 3320.02F), Satellite Communications Electromagnetic Interference Resolution Procedures (Operating Instruction 714-4), and Satellite Communications (SPI 3250.01A) Enclosure E EMI Resolution. The PBWO maintains continuous global situational awareness for Milstar, AEHF, Enhanced Polar System (EPS), and follow-on protected band constellations to facilitate immediate operational response to satellite anomalies.
