The role is based in a quaint clinic in the heart of Madison WI, which has been in operation for over 60 years and is one of Hanger Clinic's newest locations. The clinician will work alongside CPOs, a Clinical Technician, and office support staff, all working together to ensure successful patient care. The patient population spans all ages. The position involves travel to surrounding hospitals and SNFs within a radius of roughly 90 miles (Baraboo, Janesville, Reedsburg, Sauk Prairie, Monroe, Stoughton). On-call rotations are Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST, while on-call during business hours is absorbed into the workday amongst clinicians. The clinic also features onsite fabrication where a skilled technician utilizes the latest technology. As a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist, the individual is dedicated to improving patients' lives, impacting not only patients but also their families, friends, and communities. As a Hanger Prosthetist and/or Orthotist, the clinician will leverage exceptional training and an extensive collaborative clinical community of nearly 1600 providers to provide or supervise comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, formulating treatment plans, implementing those plans, follow-up with patients, and participating in practice management. If not yet certified, care will be provided under the direction of a certified clinician. The role combines clinical and technical skills to evaluate patients, custom design, fabricate, and fit prostheses and/or orthoses to deliver exceptional outcomes. Collaboration with other rehabilitation team members and innovation using the latest technology are key to empowering human potential.
