About The Position
The Prospect Research and Stewardship Specialist develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs to properly acknowledge, recognize, and steward gifts of all levels to The Salvation Army. This position assists in building and strengthening relationships with donors and donor prospects by partnering with development officers to determine effective stewardship strategies. The role involves conducting research, preparing profiles and reports on potential and identified donors/prospects to aid in solicitation, and maintaining a comprehensive donor research library. The specialist will also assist the Development team in analyzing donors and suggesting cultivation/solicitation strategies, performing donor and prospect research using web-based sources, and maintaining a solicitation-based prospect management tracking system. Additionally, the role involves working with the Donor Services team to maintain an efficient donor record-keeping and reporting system within TSA CRM and applicable software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in liberal arts or related field.
- Three years progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in fund development or related field.
- Prior Raiser’s Edge experience.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs to acknowledge, recognize, and steward gifts.
- Assist in building and strengthening relationships with donors and prospects.
- Partner with development officers to determine effective stewardship strategies.
- Conduct research and prepare profiles and reports on potential and identified donors/prospects.
- Maintain a comprehensive donor research library and stay current with its use.
- Assist the Development team in analyzing individual, foundation, and corporate donors.
- Suggest cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Perform donor and prospect research utilizing a variety of web-based sources.
- Provide summaries of data and reports as requested.
- Maintain solicitation-based prospect management tracking system.
- Monitor and report on established metrics to evaluate pipeline management and fundraising success.
- Maintain and manage an efficient donor record-keeping and reporting system with the Donor Services team.
- Ensure accurate and complete records are prepared and maintained for each donor and identified prospect within TSA CRM and applicable software.
