Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent technical training.
  • 2+ years of experience in aviation maintenance or electric motor systems.
  • Familiarity with propulsion motors (AC/DC, brushless, or PM motors) and drive systems.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage safety practices and ESD procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and technical specifications.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at our HQ office in Palo Alto, CA.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Experience with electric aircraft, drones, or eVTOL systems.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or aerospace quality standards.
  • Experience with propulsion system instrumentation and data logging tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, and inspect propulsion motors and related components.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electric and hybrid propulsion systems.
  • Conduct functional and performance tests using specialized test equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Document work performed in compliance with company and FAA standards.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environments in accordance with ESD, FAA, and company policies.
  • Support prototype builds, system integration, and flight testing preparation as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback from hands-on experience.
