Propulsion Drawing Checker/CAD Modeler
About The Position
Venus Aerospace is revolutionizing rocket engine propulsion with proprietary Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine and Venus Detonation Ramjets that deliver historic efficiency and performance. The Propulsion Drawing Checker/CAD Modeler will be involved in creating engineering drawings from 3D solid models, checking drawings, and resolving workflow issues for release. This role supports the development of propulsion hardware, from piece parts to engine assemblies and Propellant & Pressure Management (PPMS) systems, from concept to flight maturity. The ideal candidate is a self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of rocket propulsion drawing experience
- 10+ years of CAD experience, particularly working with large assemblies
- Experience in some of the CAD tools such as TC/NX, SolidWorks, CATIA
- Strong communication skills to effectively work in highly collaborative environment

Responsibilities
- Support design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion piece parts and assemblies
- Generate CAD models & drawings of components and engine systems
- Work with various teams such as the test and manufacturing teams
- Set the standard for checking drawings
