About The Position

The Proposals Specialist will be responsible for communicating with customers to gather information, collaborating with the sales team to create compelling proposals, evaluating applications, and generating system concepts. This role involves creating cost estimates, finalizing concepts with customers (which may include site visits), and producing final quotes with supporting documentation. The specialist will also stay updated on new technologies to enhance company results.

Requirements

• Intermediate level AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.
• Intermediate level SolidWorks.
• Intermediate level MS Project.
• Intermediate level Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity and experience with machine design and machine building practices including automated machinery and robotics.
• Intermediate level Pneumatics design and operational principles.
• Intermediate level understanding of controls such as PLC, SERVOs and HMIs as it would pertain to costing development.
• Capable of maintaining confidentiality and non-disclosure as it pertains to sensitive customer information and costing methods.
• Strong mathematical background and a solid understanding of job costing.

Nice To Haves

• Emulate 3D would be considered a strong asset.
• Must have a good understanding of welding and fabricating practices and materials.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers to collect all relevant information relating to the application.
• Work closely with the sales team to create proposals that contain the proper content and price point that will appeal to the customer and generate further discussions.
• Evaluate application and generate system concepts in 2D or 3D.
• Generate Cost Estimates based on performance specifications, and customer build specs.
• Finalize concept with customer and/or obtain additional information. Site visits may be required from time to time.
• Create final quotes with all supporting concept drawings and specifications.
• Consistently stay up to date on new technology in order to stay current with the latest technologies that could improve company overall results.
