About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our team in Montréal, QC. This role is responsible for defining, engineering, and managing bids and solutions for power plant simulators and/or digital control systems. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the solution, collaborate with estimators and other functional groups for accurate costing, and present solutions and cost bases to management. This position requires excellent writing and oral/presentation skills for drafting and delivering technical proposals, as well as supporting supply chain for cost optimization and providing field support at industry conferences. Occasional international travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in a Science (or equivalent substantiated by experience)
• Experience in industrial controls (DCC or DCS), nuclear power simulation, or equivalent
• Autonomous and proactive in meeting goals, and very functional in a dynamic team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Fully functional in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

• Preferably bilingual French and English, written and spoken
• Fully functional in IBM DOORS (an asset)

Responsibilities

• Define/engineer/manage bids and solutions for power plant simulators and/or digital control systems alongside Engineering, Operations and Business Development
• Take ownership of the solution, engage with estimators and other functional groups to accurately cost the project
• Present the solution and cost basis to all levels of management
• Draft and deliver the technical proposal (excellent writing and oral/presentation skills are required)
• Support supply chain to estimate and to optimize costs
• Provide support in the field (demos and presentations) at industry conferences
