About The Position

ANS is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Proposal Specialist to lead the preparation and development of high-quality proposals, qualifications packages, and related business development materials. The role collaborates with engineers, project managers, business development professionals, subject matter experts, marketing teams, and leadership to create compelling proposals tailored to client needs and aligned with ANS expertise. The Proposal Specialist also supports business development through market research and helps improve proposal processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably in engineering, construction, or professional services.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with government and private-sector RFP/RFQ processes.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and format technical and non-technical proposal content, ensuring compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
Maintain and update proposal templates, project descriptions, and resumes.
Gather technical input from subject matter experts, marketing teams, and leadership, and tailor content for each opportunity.
Coordinate multiple proposals and ensure deliverables meet submission deadlines.
Review proposals for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with branding and messaging standards.
Research potential clients, competitors, and industry trends to improve proposal effectiveness.
Identify improvements to proposal development processes, including automation, organization, and efficiency.
