About The Position

ANS is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Proposal Specialist to lead the preparation and development of proposals, qualifications packages, and related business development materials. The specialist will collaborate with engineers, project managers, business development professionals, subject matter experts, marketing teams, and leadership to create compelling materials aligned with client needs and ANS’s expertise. The role involves managing multiple proposals and deadlines, maintaining proposal content and templates, supporting market research, and improving the proposal development process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with government and private-sector RFP/RFQ processes.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

Proposal writing experience in the engineering, construction, or professional services industries.
Proficiency with Adobe InDesign.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and format technical and non-technical proposal content, ensuring compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
Maintain and update proposal templates, project descriptions, and resumes to streamline proposal preparation.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, marketing teams, and leadership to gather technical input and tailor content for each opportunity.
Coordinate multiple proposals simultaneously and ensure deliverables meet submission deadlines.
Review proposals for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with branding and messaging standards.
Research potential clients, competitors, and industry trends to support business development and improve proposal effectiveness.
Identify ways to improve proposal development through automation, organization, and efficiency.
